You’d be amazed by the number of islands situated in Langkawi. With over 100 islands, there is so much that Langkawi holds for tourists to explore, but obviously it is not possible for you to explore all. You can gain an insight on Island Hopping in Langkawi by reading travel blogs. Langkawi is filled with attractions, but out of them all, island hopping in Langkawi remains to be the most popular one. This is one of the most affordable activities and it consumes very little time.
Pulau Dayang Bunting
Just 20 minutes away from Pantai Tengah in Langkawi is situated the Pulau Dayang Bunting. This World UNESCO Heritage Geopark site requires an hour or more of exploration so make sure you have availability of time. The island is located about 20 km from Kuah Town, where one side is heavily populated while the side with the lake largely remains uninhabited.
Things to do here
Just as you take a walk up to the hills for 10 to 15 minutes, you will come across the other side of Pulau Dayang Bunting, where the Lake of Pregnant Women awaits you. This truly astounding lake has a very thin stony space which breaks it from the sea. The place holds a lot of wonders, and apart from it all you can even enjoy a nice pampering and refreshing session of natural catfish spa treatment. If you stay for a total of 40 minutes on the lake you can take advantage of an enjoyable solar boat paddle ride for a few extra bucks.
You can easily get to Pulau Dayang Bunting from Kuah Jetty or Pantai Cenang, which lets you book a boat from the several boat operators that provide rides to Pulau Dayang Bunting. The overall journey lasts about 15 minutes.
